ABOUT

Hi I’m Stuart,
I’m a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist working both privately and in the NHS. I have over 30 years of experience working in mental health services in the NHS as a Nursing Assistant, Psychiatric Nurse and for the last 15 years as a CBT Psychotherapist.

CBT is the foundation of my practice, I incorporate Mindfulness Based Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and Compassionate Focussed Therapy. I have a particular interest in working with neurodiverse clients and adapting therapy to best meet their needs. In my current role I work with Depression, a range of Anxiety disorders including PTSD/Trauma, OCD, Social Anxiety, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, BDD, etc as well as issues related to Self-Esteem. Prior to that I worked in forensic mental health services and challenging behaviours. Outside of that my interest could be summed up in music, movies and martial arts.
